Schumacher's Rare Watch Collection Set for Christie's Auction in Geneva

Honoring the racing legacy of seven-time Formula 1 champion, Michael Schumacher, Christie’s is gearing up to auction his precious collection of luxury timepieces. These iconic watches, replete with symbolism and intricate design, are not just a commemoration of Schumacher's career but also a testament to his indelible imprint on motor racing.

Michael Schumacher, the German racing titan known for his unmatched prowess on the track, is now set to be remembered through a grand auction of his exquisite watch collection. The upcoming Rare Watches sale by Christie’s is lining up eight high-valued timekeepers that these iconic pieces mark some of the key moments in Schumacher’s illustrious career. The auction is slated to coincide with the 30th anniversary of his first Formula 1 championship win.

The rare Audemars Piguet Royal Oak

A trophy from Jean Todt, the former manager of Ferrari’s racing division, is among these treasured watches. This bespoke timepiece reflects Schumacher's racing glory with unique details on the dial, like Ferrari’s famous Prancing Horse emblem and Schumacher’s red racing helmet.

The F.P. Journe, A Unique Symbol of Victory

Another highlight of this auction is the one-of-kind F.P. Journe Vagabondage 1 Model from 2004. This timepiece, much like the Royal Oak, is a splendid dedication to Schumacher’s career, showcasing special symbols representing his seven F1 victories, his racing helmet, and the Prancing Horse badge on the face of the watch. Timepieces from the Michael Schumacher collection will be exhibited in Los Angeles (March 20 to 22), Hong Kong (April 4 to 7), Taiwan (April 20 to 21), Dubai (April 27 to 30), New York (early May) and Geneva (May 10 to 12), before the auction at Four Seasons Hotel des Bergues Geneva on May 13.
